Measure L Update: 9/17/2025

We received word that the judge signed off on the Measure L settlement yesterday. This means that in the next 60 days, you should be receiving your settlement money.

Over the next 30 days, settlement administrators will be reaching out to class members with a link to a portal, where you will be able to choose your preferred payment method, such as check or electronic. We are hearing that direct deposit may be an option, but we won’t have confirmation on that until the settlement administrators begin sending out the link. If you do not receive a link after 30 days, please reach out to the settlement administrators for assistance at 1-877-354-3897. Please note that the attorneys for the case will not have any information regarding how payments are going out; you will need to reach out to the settlement administrators.

​Measure L ​Update: 9/15/2025

We appreciate your patience as we gathered more information. We have received word from the settlement administrators that the last step for approval of the settlement is for the judge’s signature. That is expected to be happening very soon.

 

We can now confirm that payments are expected to be distributed in November 2025. If you need to make any changes to your addresses and preferred payment method, it is recommended that you make those changes as soon as possible. Those changes can be made via the “Update Information” tab on DisneyLivingWageCase.com. If you did not receive a PIN or have any other questions regarding the case, please call 1-877-354-3897.

Please keep in mind that there are over 20,000 class action members, so it may take a few days for you to receive yours. We received word that letters are expected to go out beginning May 20th via email or regular mail with updated information on how much you are expected to receive in the settlement.

Please make sure your mailing address and email address are up-to-date on CastLife. That is the information that will be used.

MEASURE L UPDATE JANUARY

 

Disney has agreed to a $233 million settlement in the Measure L living wage case! As part of the settlement, cast members at the Resort will receive:

​

• 100% of their back wages, including overtime payments, minus the usual tax withholdings

• 10% interest on back wages and overtime pay

• 100% of 401(k) matching contributions Disney would have made based on the Measure L rates plus 10% interest

• Additional penalty payments

This settlement is the largest class action wage theft case in California history, and would not have been possible without cast members’ willingness to fight for what they deserve from Disney. Workers, our fellow unions, and community members, fought hard for Measure L, Anaheim’s minimum wage law, in 2018, so resort area workers who make the magic for guests from around the world would have a living wage.

The settlement agreement now goes to the court to get the judge’s approval. After that, members in the class will get an individual notice with the amount they will be receiving from the settlement. If there are no appeals from class members, payments are expected in about July 2025.
